Yasui Konpira-gū
Yasui Konpira-gū on the edge of Gion district that worships a god known for its influence over ties that bind.
Since the main deity enshrined at the Yasui Konpira-gū is the emperor Sutoku, abandoning all interests, confined himself to Konpira-gū in the land of Sanuki (Kagawa Prefecture), this shrine has been considered a place of prayer for abstinence and attracted many believers.
Yasui Konpira-gū contains the peculiar objects: enkiri / enmusubi-ishi.
This is a stone that is thought to bind good relationships tighter and sever bad relationships.
Bad relationship includes not only what it is but bad habit.

1.Purchase a special piece of paper from the counter next to the stone and write your name and wish on it.
2.If you want to bind your love tighter, grasp the paper and crawl through the tunnel in the stone from front to back.
3.If you want out of your present relationship, crawl through from back to front.
4.Use the glue provided and stick your wishing paper to the ever-huge collection of wishes decorating the stone.

Utsukushigozen-sha
Utsukushigozen-sha, nestled inside Yasaka Shrine, is a shrine rich with high reputation.
It is famous for match-making and beauty.
Three gods are enshrined and known for the most beautiful gods in Japan.
Ichikishima Hime no Mikoto, one of three, is a deity of wealth, talent, and beauty.
Sacred spring water comes out in the shrine, and people who visit there put the water on their faces to purify their not skin but mind– the water is called “Beauty Water”.

Shimogamo Shrine
Aioi-sha, nestled inside Shimogamo Shrine, worships a god known for its influence on a good relationship.
The main deity is “Ubusuna no kami” is deified as the creation of universe.
“who want to encounter a soul mate” “who want to get along with a partner forever” “ who want to get a good job” The shrine is believed that has a profit for anything rerated with communication.
There is “Renri no Sakaki” Tree, two trees have become one, stands near the shrine.
People believe that visitors get fortune if they dedicate a ema-whish plate after praying around the tree.
1.First, write down your wish on ema-wish plate.
2.Tie a red and a white string together on the plate.
3.A woman walks with an ema in a clockwise route twice, and man does the same thing in a counter clockwise route.
4.On the third lap, dedicate their ema at the board.
5.Visit in front the main shrine to pray and pull the Miarebiki rope.

Shimogamo Shrine→Tadasu no mori forest→Kawai Shrine
Kwai Shrine
You should stand by Kawai Shrine after visiting Shimogamo Shrine.
This shrine worships a deity of the emperor’s ancestor.
It is known for beauty, safety giving birth, and having children.
The main charm is a handy ema “Kagami ema” and it is quite popular with young women.
They dedicate it after put making on a ema plate that has a face already.
It is more efficient if you use your cosmetic items.
If not, some color pencils or crayons are provided.
After finishing making, please write down your wish and name on a back side.
Then go in front of the main hall to pray and reflect yourself in a mirror.
The mirror means reflection not your looks but inside, so “Be beautiful both side”.
