Vol.180:Blue maple in Kyoto

The cherry blossom season is over, and the season of blue maple leaves, a typical feature of early summer, has arrived.
Kyoto is crowded with many tourists in spring, but after Golden Week, the number of tourists decreases.
Early summer is a recommended season for sightseeing in Kyoto, for you can leisurely sightsee at famous tourist spots.
Therefore, I would like to introduce some green maple spots for sightseeing in Kyoto in early summer.
The fresh green of the blue maple leaves is especially spectacular, and its beauty is worth seeing!

Tofukuji Temple

Tofukuji Temple is a famous autumn foliage spot in Kyoto.
In early summer, the maple leaves are lush.
The view from Tsutenkyo Bridge, which spans the temple grounds, is spectacular.
The valley that spreads under the bridge is filled with many blue maple trees.
The blue maple leaves look like a sea of fresh green.
This sight can only be seen at Tofukuji Temple.

It is also registered as a world heritage site.
The best time to see the blue maple leaves at Daigoji Temple is from May to early June.
The green leaves around Sanpoin Garden and Bentendo are especially spectacular.
