vol.125:Priest Guides Kibune Shrine

Kibune Shrine, located in the north of Kyoto City, has been worshiped as the god of the Mizukami Festival Palace since ancient times. In recent years, it has become crowded with couples and women as a power spot for love.

Originally, the shrine is derived from “Ki”, power “fu”, empowered, “ne”, origin, which is the source of life. At such a power spot in Kyoto, there is a worship plan that will blow away the anxiety of corona.

You can receive formal worship at the main shrine and listen to the historical explanation by the priesthood. Also, we will receive some gifts and plan to visit three companies with audio guides.

Why don’t you enjoy your trip to Kyoto with a special plan?

Schedule

Reception / Greeting (10 minutes) → After taking official Shinto ritual at the main shrine, an explanation by the priest (10 minutes) → Sacred water ramune-soda, water fortune-telling lottery, Paper to write a wish, Goshuin, 御朱印, the seal when visiting Shinto shrines (20 minutes), “ON THE TRIP “SOUND TRIP” access code received → Each person visits three shrines.

Shinto Ritual

The procedure for worship is that the priest plays a congratulatory message. Next, cleanse the dirt with a sacred tool, and ask for the visit of God to avoid the devil. Finally, dedicate the tamagushi and finish.

Gifts

When you participate in the event, you will receive some gifts from Kibune Shrine.

Spirit Water Ramune-soda

You can get “Spirit Water Ramune-soda” made by using a part of Spirit Water.
The label is handwritten by the priest of Kifune Shrine, and the red cap is a custom-made item. It is said that power is given by water.

Water fortune-telling lottery

A slightly rare “water fortune-telling lottery” where you can see the result by floating a blank fortune-telling lottery on the “water fortune-telling garden” where the sacred water is flowing.

Voice guide “ON THE TRIP” and Kibune Shrine original music “SOUND TRIP”

You can get the passcode of the special site (or app) of “ON THE TRIP” that will guide you through the history of your trip by voice like a museum. You can learn about the deep history of the Kifune Shrine, which cannot be read in the pamphlet.

“SOUND TRIP” is a project to create “music with a story” that artists can only experience thereby using the sounds related to the area. You can listen to songs created by artists who are popular among young people in Japan, forming a unit and taking inspiration from the dragon god enshrined at Kibune Shrine.

Paper to write a wish

A parer to write a wish at Nakamiya “Yui no Yashiro” shrine, which is known for a good relationship. Many votive tablets are tied in the precincts.

Goshuin

Goshuin, 御朱印, the seal when visiting Shinto shrines. You can choose one from two types, the main shrine and the Okumiya of Kifune Shrine.
