vol.122:Kyoto Photo Spots

Everyone thinks someday I want to go.
And there is a landscape that I want to capture in the photo.

Among the superb views of Kyoto, we will introduce the photo spots that even photographers want to visit.

Kiyomizu-dera temple West Gate

Kiyomizu-dera temple is a popular spot that has been designated as a World Heritage Site.
If you are aiming for photogenicity instead of the famous stage of Kiyomizu or Otowa Falls, go to the west gate! In particular, if you aim for sunset just before the gate closes, you can take a shot of the city of Kyoto surrounded by the sunset, surrounded by a vermilion gate.
You may be able to enjoy the sunset over Kyoto, which is the same as 1300 years ago.
You can also take a picture of the night view of Kyoto, which you can only see on special days.

Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine

It is thousands of Torii gate of Fushimi Inari Taisha, a regular of the top three tourist attractions in Kyoto.
The charm is that you will never get tired no matter how many times you visit. Even though the “Oyama Tour” that visits Mt. Inari is about 4 km, many worshipers visit it throughout the four seasons. For this reason, it is difficult to take some pictures that no one is in, but there is a chance to shoot it before 7 am or after 9 pm.

Nanzenji Temple

One of the attractions of Kyoto is that it is not only a majestic traditional building.
Tourists live the 93.2m-long brick arched pier structure that passes through the precincts of Nanzenji Temple on the Biwako Canal Waterline. Currently, it is a historical site designated by Kyoto City, but it is still active. I would like to rent a kimono and take retro-modern photos.

Komyoin Temple

<img src="https://kyonaka-gozan.kyoto/media/koi/sites/10/20200902-4.jpg" alt="" Komyoin temple, one of the sub-temple of Tofukuji Temple, is famous for the dry landscape garden called "Hashin garden".
This garden was created by Mirei Shigemori, who also designed the garden in Tofukuji Temple, and the beauty of moss shines so that it has the alias "Rainbow Moss Garden”. Despite being located between Tofukuji Temple and Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, this hidden tourist spot is not well known. After taking a picture, why not take a moment to look out at the garden and soothe your mind.

Unryuin Temple

It is a sub-temple of Sen’nyuji Temple and is related to the Imperial Family.
When you enter the Renge-room, which is right in front of the reception desk, there is one cushion. Sit there and look out through the four shoji screens, and you can enjoy the “shishishiki landscape” where you can see four different views from the left: camellia, lantern, maple, and pine.

Murinan

Murinan, which is said to be a masterpiece of Japanese gardens, was built by Army soldier and politician Aritomo Yamagata. This is the only garden that is open to the public throughout the Nanzenji area and is designated as a national scenic spot in 1951. It is a spot where you will be fascinated by the picturesque scene. On the 28th of every month, “Garden Day” will be free of charge for those under the age of 35. Currently, it is a reservation system, but if you like photography and garden lovers, this is a spot you should visit.
