Night Aquarium at Kyoto Aquarium

Kyoto Aquarium has extended its business hours from 6pm until 8pm, and is holding a limited-time event called Night Aquarium, where you can enjoy the sights and performances of creatures that can only be seen at night.
After 5 p.m. on the day of Night Aquarium, the lights inside the museum are dimmed and dimly lit lanterns are placed in front of the aquarium.
You can spend a different time than during the day because
you can watch critters sleeping and fish swimig leisurely.
At Dolphin Stadium, the water curtain is lit up twice a day.
You can enjoy a fantastic spatial art where water, light, and sound intersect.
It is only performed twice a day, from 6:00 pm and from 6:30 pm, so don’t miss it!
There are other things to see besides the light up at Night Aquarium.
It is said that you can see “Giant Salamander” moving slowly and the penguins sleeping close together.
The 2023 version of the “Penguin Correlation Chart” that we introduced in the 2020 KoI Service has been uploaded to the official website.
