Vol.186:Out-of-season sunflower field in Oharano

It’s good weather to go out in Kyoto.
In Kyoto, events unique to autumn are held in various places.
Among them, I would like to introduce an event called ”OHARANO sunflower field 2024″.
This event is known for the rare sight of sunflowers, which usually bloom in summer, coming into full bloom in the fall, in November.

Oharano sunflower field 2024

The event will be held, and sunflowers are scheduled to be in full bloom around November.
On September 6th and 7th of last month, Rakusai High School students, local residents, and the government worked together to sow sunflower seeds.
During the November season, you can enjoy the wonderful scenery of approximately 11,000 sunflowers blooming.
You can check the latest status of the sunflower fields on the “Nanyakanya Ooharano” website.

In addition, the Oharano area is easily accessible from Kyoto City, and there is Oharano Shrine located near the sunflower fields.
You can visit sunflower fields and other tourist attractions, so you can spend a meaningful autumn day.
