The most eye-catching view is over 10,000 gates (senbontorii) leading up Mt. Inari.

Hatsuuma Taisai (Festival) is held at this popular spot on February 9th.

What’s Hatsuuma Taisai?

Hatsuuma Taisai was held on the first day of the horse in the second month of the lunar calendar, a day when it is said that the god of Inari descended upon Mt. Inari.
In ancient times, it was the beginning season for rice farming.
Thus people worshiped the god and pray for an abundant harvest.
