Did you know that there are days when 3,000 sky lanterns dance in the summer night sky of Kyoto?

This is the 4th “Kyoto Tanabata Sky Lantern Festival” this year.

At Kamigamo Shrine, a world cultural heritage, 3,000 sky lanterns fly up on summer nights.

Sky lanterns have a long history and are said to have been used as a means of communication during the Three Kingdoms period of China.
After that, it came to be used for praying.

It might be a good idea to spend the night watching the sky lanterns soaring on summer nights.

Speaking of Toji, the five-storied pagoda, the national treasure of the tallest wooden tower in Japan, is famous, but the world heritage Toji was built in 796.
It is the only remaining remains of Heiankyo in modern times.

It is an art space that can only be seen here, with a brilliant and fantastic projection of Toji Temple.
