vol.128:KYOTO GRAPHI international photography festival 2020

A photo festival that exhibits a variety of works by internationally renowned photographers at several locations in Kyoto.
The photo festival is held in the spring every year, but this year it was postponed to the fall to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

The theme of the 8th Kyoto International Photo Festival 2020 is “VISION”

”The word “VISION” refers to our physical functional vision, but also the mind’s eye.
In these unprecedented times, what kind of future does the world see?
For KYOTOGRAPHIE 2020, “VISION” gathers diverse perspectives. In order to change the
world, we must first change our “VISION” of it. After all, the world is created by our
collective consciousness.”

It is also VISION to see what is invisible.
What kind of future should we envision in a world transformed by the invisible virus?

It seems that it will be a trip that will give you an opportunity to deepen such thoughts.

The exhibition of works is divided into 13 places, and some exhibitions are free, but some are paid, so it is advantageous to purchase a passport that allows you to enter all programs.

Online content is also available so that even those who have difficulty visiting KYOTOGRAPHIE 2020 can enjoy the exhibitions and events.
You can enjoy a virtual tour with a sense of reality by utilizing “Matterport” that expresses the space online by 3D scanning.
