vol.121:The Legendary Sword Onikirimaru

At Kitano Tenmangu is currently holding a Kitano Tenmangu tour that will guide you around the precincts with explanations of priests.

The highlight of the tour is the usually undisclosed treasure hall!

You can enjoy seeing Tenjin-related treasures including popular swords such as the legendary sword “Onikirimaru” (also known as “Higekiri”), then the other one “Tsunetsugui” of the dedication of the Kaga Maeda clan, and the other one “Kunihiro” dedicated by Hideyori Toyotomi. It is a great opportunity to see the charter.

During the tour, a priest will go around the main shrine (national treasure) exterior, Sankomon (important cultual asset), etc. and guide you through the highlights and episodes of the building.

After that, you can see the treasures owned by Kitano Tenmangu at the Treasure Hall Special Visit. And this time, only swords can be shot! The sword itself is usually closed to the public and it is not possible to shoot, so it can be said that it is a very special opportunity.

Worshipers will be given a commemorative bookmark set after the tour.
