In Kyoto, a number of shops were closed due to the record heavy rain in the last few days.
Next week it seems to be over 30 degrees.

The biggest event in Kyoto in July is the Gion Festival.
There are many festivals in Japan, but the Gion Festival is one of the three major festivals in Japan, which is listed in UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The main events are two traditional parade floats called Yamaboko-Junko held on 17th and 24th July.
Every year as many as 300 thousands people visit on the night from the 14th to the 16th are collectively called the ‘Yoiyama’.

This year’s ‘Yoiyama’ is a three-day holiday so more people will visit.

From July 10, the 23 ’Yama・Hoko’ of ’Saki Matsuri’ (July 17th) will begin to be assembled sequentially, and the assembly is scheduled to be completed around 14th.

If you want to see ’Yama・Hoko’ slowly, you should go in the morning or ’Ato Matsuri’!
