vol.13: Kamogawa Area of the Tanabata event

“Kyo no Tanabata” has been held in various areas in Kyoto city since last week.

In the Kamogawa area, until Friday, August 10, we can see the Wind Chime Lanterns and the Tanabata bamboo decorations and light-up.

Not only the Tanabata decorations but also the lights of a type of restaurant balcony overlooking a river, called ‘kawadoko’ slightly illuminate the Kamogawa promenade.

Kyoto in August is very hot and humid, but in the evening, it is a little better.

How about going for a walk to have a cool evening?

By the way, those who came wearing kimonos and yukata during the “Tanabata of Kyoto” can get a handy bamboo lantern.

The place to distribute the gift is “Kamogawa head office tent” on the north side of the Sanjo Ohashi bridge.

The period is from August 6 (Monday) to August 10 (Friday), and distribution is scheduled to begin around 19:00.

Every day the first 80 people. As as soon as it is gone, the distribution is over.
