\nThis time, we will introduce the azaleas at Mimuroto Temple, a recommended flower spot in Kyoto in spring.<\/p>\n
Mimuroto-ji Temple in Uji City is known as the 10th temple of the Thirty-three Kannon Temples of the Western Provinces, and is popular as the “Flower Temple” where you can enjoy flowers of all seasons.
\nYou can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring, hydrangeas in early summer, lotus flowers in summer, and autumn leaves in autumn.
\nYou can see different beautiful flowers every time you visit.
\nIf you visit Ko-no-dera Temple between late April and mid-May, you can see about 20,000 azaleas, and the scenery is spectacular.
\nThe temple grounds are brightly colored with azaleas in a variety of colors including red, white, pink, and purple.
\nThe scenery is as beautiful as a carpet of flowers.
\nOne of the attractions of this area is that the flowering periods of each azalea variety vary slightly, so you can enjoy different views depending on when you visit.
\nIn the garden in front of the main hall, rounded pruned azaleas are arranged like hills.
\nThis creates a fantastical landscape that looks like undulating waves of flowers, making it a particularly spectacular sight.
\nIn addition, there are walking paths within the garden, and you can walk along a tunnel-like path surrounded by azaleas.<\/p>\n
