\nTogetsukyo is named after the anecdote that “the moon seemed to cross the bridge.”
\nThe design of Togetsukyo Bridge, which naturally blends in with the beautiful mountain scenery of Arashiyama, and many tourists take commemorative photos. Check out the Arashiyama Hanatouro, a light-up event that takes place after the fall foliage season.<\/p>\n

\nTenryuji Temple is the only World Heritage Site in Arashiyama. Inside the temple, you can see the “Dragon of Anywhere Gaze”, where you can see the dragon from any angle. The garden is also beautiful, and it is designated as a national historic site and special place of scenic beauty because it is a borrowed landscape garden that incorporates Arashiyama across the Oigawa River and Kameyama located to the west of the garden.

\nThe “Sagano Torokko Train” is a sightseeing train that runs about 7.3km along the Hozu River from Sagano to Tamba Kameoka in about 25 minutes. If you ride a retro-designed 5-car diesel locomotive, you can experience the nature of the four seasons from the train.
\nSame-day tickets are also sold at each Sagano Torokko train station, but it is especially popular in autumn, so it is recommended that you make a reservation in advance. Tickets and reserved seat tickets can be purchased at the “Midori no Madoguchi” at major stations in JR West and at major travel agencies nationwide.<\/p>\n
