Also, there are some types of paintings, but we introduce especially floral ones.<\/p>\n<h5 class=\"style5b\">About The Ceiling Of Flower<\/h5>\n<p>Actually, the history of the ceiling of the flower is unknown because the number of existing pictures is not enough to verify the time. <\/p>\n<p>You can find the picture looks like framed with the beams in the Buddhist buildings because of the structural reasons. Phoenix, dragon, crane, peacock, turtle, or a pine tree are often drawn on the ceiling. These are the lucky motif to pray for infinity prosperity. Beautiful flowers and grasses are one of them.<\/p>\n<h5 class=\"style5b\">Hiraoka Hachimangu Shrine<\/h5>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kyonaka-gozan.kyoto\/media\/koi\/sites\/10\/20200318_1-300x200.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3237\" \/><br \/>\nHiraoka Hachimangu Shrine was built by Kobo Daishi Kukai in809; the ceiling of the main hall is adorned with 44 colorful flower paintings from the Edo period (1603-1868). This temple is famous for its heart-shaped window. The heart shape is a traditional pattern in Japan used for fortunes and blessings and has attracted many visitors. There are also historic buildings such as important cultural properties, and it is quiet and quaint pagoda temple. If you walk through Niomon gate, you can see the flowers of paintings on the ceiling.
