Kyoto has some illumination event in December.
\nThus, we\u2019d like to share three spots to visit.<\/p>\n

Fantasy 2019 of Kyoto Station Building light<\/h5>\n

\nKyoto station is a grand entrance to Kyoto and popular tourist spot.
\nThere are many convenience stores and restaurants.
\nWe recommend you to visit both Muromachi Square and the roof garden to get wonderful views of Kyoto and also to watch the very beautiful light show.
\nThe upper floors have an amusing show operating the steps between the elevators that is worth enjoying and photographing.

\nThis year is 60th anniversary year that Kyoto City entered into a friendship treaty with Boston.
\nTo express the friendship, the decoration is based on red, and a musical event is held.
\nYou should visit the 4F Muromachi Square to see the big Christmas Tree.<\/p>\n

Arashiyama Hanatoro<\/h5>\n

\nHanatoro (\u82b1\u706f\u8def, Hanat\u014dro), which means “flower and light road”, is a set of illumination events that take place in the Arashiyama district of Kyoto in December.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s wonderful to view the bamboo grove at night, and visit some shrines and temples at night. It is rare for anyone to be able to go to shrines and temples at night as most of them close their gate by 17:00.
\nThe shrines and temples held the night event; Rakushi-sha (\u843d\u67ff\u820e), Jojakko-ji (\u5e38\u5bc2\u5149\u5bfa), Nonomiya shrine (\u91ce\u5bae\u795e\u793e), Tenryu-ji (\u5929\u9f8d\u5bfa), Hougou-in (\u5b9d\u53b3\u9662), and Horin-ji(\u6cd5\u8f2a\u5bfa).<\/p>\n

During the event, most of the pathways were only one-way, and there will be ground crowd-controllers guiding the crowd to the correct route.
\nAlso, the shuttle bus runs from Nison-in temple to JR Saga Arashiyama.<\/p>\n

Rohm Illumination 2019<\/h5>\n

\nROHM Co., Ltd., semiconductor company based in Kyoto, annually holds the illumination event as social contribution activity.
\nIn the Rohm Illumination, trees and parks around the headquarter are lit up with over 800,000 LEDs and light bulbs.
\nIt is the most popular illumination event for locals in winter.

\nAt the entrance, there are two trees facing each other. Yamamomo, bayberries, are symbol of this event because its flower language is \u201cwith all one\u2019s heart\u201d.
\nIlluminated Metasequoia trees create a romantic and somber atmospher. The view is absolutely amazing.
