src=\"https:\/\/kyonaka-gozan.kyoto\/media\/koi\/sites\/10\/20191126-1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2961\" \/><br \/>\nDo you know how many the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kyoto?<br \/>\nThe answer is \u2026\u2026 seventeen!<br \/>\nAnd two of them are in Uji city, Kyoto.<br \/>\nOne is Byodo-in Temple which is the very popular and famous, and the other is Ujigami Shrine, also registered as one of the constituent assets of Cultural Property of Ancient Kyoto.<\/p>\n<p>Not many people know about this shrine as a world heritage but it\u2019s surely recommendable.<br \/>\nThough the origin, such as the founding date, is not clear, it is said that the Ujigami Shrine was established around the late Heian era (927).<\/p>\n<p>The main diety is Uji no Waki \u200b\u200bIratsuko, an ancient Japanese royal family.<br \/>\nPeople believe that Uji no Waki \u200b\u200bIratsuko brings you  good luck with academic achievement.<\/p>\n<h5 class=\"style5b\" id=\"ujigami2\">What to See in Ujigami Shrine<\/h5>\n<h4 class=\"style4a\">\u201cKirihara Water\u201d <\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kyonaka-gozan.kyoto\/media\/koi\/sites\/10\/20191126-14-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2965\" \/><br \/>\n\u201cKirihara Water\u201d , one of the seven exquisite and well-conserved waters<br \/>\nUjigami Shrine has a unique Mitarashi (the place purifying your hands).<br \/>\nWater is spring water and used for a purification ritual.<br \/>\nThis water is clear but it\u2019s not for drinking.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4a\">Lovely Rabbit Oracle<\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" brings you good luck with relationship and leads to the light way.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4a\">Goshuin (the signature that a shrine or a temple provides)<\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" changed in four seasons and there is a limited version.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4a\">The Purifying Sand<\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kyonaka-gozan.kyoto\/media\/koi\/sites\/10\/20191126-5-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2970\" \/><br \/>\nThe Purifying Sand placed both sides of the gate of worship hall.<br \/>\nYou can get the sand at the shop by 500 yen.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4a\">The giant rock worshiped<\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" shinto priest,  it is a sign to show where the main hall had been.<br \/>\nThe reason why many tiny stones are heaped up is the superstition which your wish is come true if you heap up stones. *There wp-image-2971\" \/><br \/>\nIt takes about 5 minutes walk from Ujigami Shrin.<br \/>\nThough Koshoji Temple is not on a guide book, it is worth visiting.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" named after the sound of the stream which is flowing both sides of.<br \/>\nIn the early summer, the fresh green maple is beautifu.<br \/>\nIn fall, the autumn foliage is gorgeous.<\/p>\n<p><img \/><br \/>\nThe temple is the first temple of Soto sect and begins with the fact that Dogen built Koshohorinji Temple.<br \/>\nAs the temple is the oldest zen meditation center, buddhist moncs all over Japan are gathering and do practice there.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/kyonaka-gozan.kyoto\/media\/koi\/sites\/10\/20191126-12-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2976\" \/><br \/>\nYou can explore inside of the temple, the main hall, the Shoin, and Hojo area.<br \/>\nA bowl of Matcha is served by 500 yen.<\/p>\n<p>Koshoji Temple welcome a beginner for Zen meditation so they hold an event for them.<br \/>\nIt holds every 1st and 3rd Sundays and 20~ 30 participants take part in the event include a
